Today is the end of 2007. Weird, isn't it? Remember all those ssssslllllllllooooooowwwwww days that you thought would never end? And now look. Tomorrow is the start of new year. Where has time gone?

2007 was much better than '06. I don't remember anyone dying, so that made it 100% better than '06. I am looking forward to next year. 2008. I am going to learn how to hunt. I've got someone to teach me how to shoot and I am going to go hunting. Everyone I tell laughs at me. I want to be able to do as much as I possibly can by myself. And that includes hunting.

That's about it... I don't have any other New Year resolutions. What about you guys? And resolutions you wanna share?!

Have you been keeping with the President Wanna-bes? Any idea who you want to vote for? And why? I'm thinking Paul or Huckabee.

Ron Paul - http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

This is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly. Everyone who is old enough to vote should. The year I turned 18, I was able to vote and was so excited about it. You are the future of the United States and you should take part in what is now shaping America for years to come!

Speaking of America, take a look at these lyrics! Talk about powerful. Song is by Casting Crowns.

"While You Were Sleeping"

Oh little town of Bethlehem
Looks like another silent night
Above your deep and dreamless sleep
A giant star lights up the sky
And while you're lying in the dark
There shines an everlasting light
For the King has left His throne
And is sleeping in a manger tonight

Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
For God became a man
And stepped into your world today
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping

Oh little town of Jerusalem
Looks like another silent night
The Father gave His only Son
The Way, the Truth, the Life had come
But there was no room for Him in the world He came to save

Jerusalem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
The Savior of the world is dying on your cross today
Jerusalem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping

United States of America
Looks like another silent night
As we're sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we're lying in the dark
There's a shout heard 'cross the eastern sky
For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night

America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
Will we be sleeping
Will we be sleeping

United States of America
Looks like another silent night

Movies I want to see in '08? 27 Dresses. Prince Caspian - The Return to Narnia. Umm.... I'm not sure when the 3rd Cheetah Girl movie is coming out, but I'd like to see that one too. Oh, and Footloose with HSM's Zac Efron (he is so cute!). The Bucket List. Oh, I recently watched ABC Family's Holiday in Handcuffs. It was soo funny! I really enjoyed it (I did not enjoy the pro-gay message in it though). But if you are interested in watching it, you can. Alright, I think this blog is long enough... hopefully some of you made it to the end!

My hair didn't hold a curl... well, maybe for about 30-40 minutes. But that is about as long as it will hold without hairspray. And I didn't want to put any in my hair at four-thirty in the morning!

I am thinking about returning the rollers. I'm just not sure that I want them now. I don't know if I can return them though. Wal-Mart can be funny about stuff like that... especially since I've already used them! I'm gonna try anyways.

It raining. I've already read an entire book today. I'm bored. I've walked down to the mailbox three or four times. And still no mail. I don't think we are getting any today. I really like checking the mail. I love receiving mail! *hint, hint* I'm just kidding!

I think I'll go take a shower. It'll give me something to do. No, I'm not taking a nap. I want to be able to sleep tonight!
It's 4:38 in the morning and I can't sleep. I forced myself to go to sleep last night only to wake up now and find myself once again wide awake. It may because it's kinda warm in the house and I've discovered that I don't sleep well unless it's really cold in my room.

I bought hair rollers yesterday. The set we did have is in storage still and there is no way I could have found them. I'm going to roll my hair this morning. I used to do it all the time and I would get ringlets. My hair was much longer than it is now... so we'll see what happens!

I hope you all had a good Christmas. I got some cash as a gift and bought several books, but I'm going to return one. It's called The Pawn and I think I read about five pages and it freaked me out so badly, I put it down. I don't think I'll ever recover from those five pages though. It is a murder/mystery book.

So this guy I know likes a mutual friend and it is the weirdest thing ever. I never in a million years saw that happening. It will be even stranger if she returns the feelings.

Well, I'm off to put the rollers in my hair. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Christmas went by fast... it always does. We read the Birth story, dig through our stockings, eat breakfast, and open gifts one at a time. It's always the same, but it's always different. It was a good Christmas. God is good.

I am feeling very, very discouraged. My young adult class at church is frustrating. I love the teachers. They are incredible. But none of the "students" hardly come. Especially those who have just moved up from the Youth Group. It breaks my heart. I've called, sent cards, emailed and nothing seems to work.
And then a couple weeks ago, a guy showed up in my class and I could tell by his face and the words he spoke, that he was/is a godly guy. I believed he was the answer to my prayers. I believed that God was going to use him to lead my class out of the wilderness we seem to be stuck in. And he has failed to show up the past 3 services.
I am discouraged and I haven't a clue what the Lord is trying to do now. I guess I'll continue praying...

I'm going to bed. It's late and I am tired. I don't know why I've stayed up this late anyways. Good night!

Here we are! Christmas Eve and we've just finished watching The Elf. Our entire family together. That movie is incredibly funny.

We've discovered Zooey Deschanel. She plays in The Elf. She also plays in the Tin Man. Which is a side of the Wizard of Oz that you've never thought about or seen before. I love her voice. She has a Judy Garland type voice and I love it.

We are all excited about tomorrow. Who isn't?! I've had my daily dose of hot chocolate... I love that stuff. I'm tired. Ready for bed. I've been in my PJ's since we came back from our Christmas Eve service at church. I love when the candles have been lit and all is so serene. The glow of the candles and singing Silent Night is definitely calming.

This is the only time of the year we keep secrets from each other. We constantly ask each other where we've gone or what we've bought and we all say, "It's that time of year!" and then we break out into song, "It's that time of year when the world falls in love!". I love my family!

So the very top part of our tree doesn't have any lights. It's weird looking at it... we ran out when decorating and didn't buy any more. I'll get some Friday when I go shopping. And my wreath is still sitting on the fireplace. ;-)

Christmas day we don't really have a "meal". We do have breakfast casserole for breakfast (of course!), but after that it's a mixture of things we (almost) never have though-out the year. Okay, we do eat Chick-fil-A chicken quite a bit, but hey, C is working there and we got some for tomorrow! Pop-tarts, chocolate milk, fresh pineapple, cheese dip (A's recipe) and chips, shrimp, carrots with hummus, and I can't remember the rest.

I hope you have a blessed and merry Christmas!

A Bit Lost....

That's how I feel right now. Lost.
I'm new to this. Not to blogging, but to this web blog. I blog all the time on my MySpace page (myspace.com/lightsofblue). I love it and that is why I decided to get a Blogger/BlogSpot account.

Four days till Christmas. Hope you've finished your shopping! I finished yesterday. Finally! I am so happy to be done. The crowds are outrageous! I would love to be able to do everything online... but I couldn't this year.

Merry Christmas and have Happy New Year!
